Karmak recently held a Fusion User Summit hosted at JX Truck Center’s Indianapolis, Ind.
The June event brought together more than 60 attendees from nine Peterbilt and Kenworth dealers from as far away as Edmonton, Alberta, and Seattle, Wash. The Summit was focused on helping dealers get the most out of all the technologies present in today’s complex and fast moving environments.
In addition to the dealers, special guests included: Julia van Zeller (Service Experience Manager, Paccar), Daniel Diaz (Business Service Manager, Paccar), Keith Ely and Tom Palenchar from KEA Advisors as well as a team from Decisiv Billtrust and DocStar, both preferred Karmak partners, also sponsored and attended.
Karmak says the Summit began with a casual evening welcome reception for introductions and networking. The following day, attendees participated in an interactive walk-through tour of JX’s Indianapolis location, focused on the real-world application of Fusion in parts and service operations. Classroom sessions that afternoon and the next day were led by Karmak experts and included a deep dive into new features of Fusion as well as a peek into where Fusion is heading in the future.
Attendees also heard from the Decisiv team on maximizing integration efficiencies and participated in breakout sessions specific to operations in Parts, Service and Accounting. Finally, Keith and Tom from KEA Advisors shared actionable insights into running a more productive and efficient service department.
“Karmak Fusion is an essential, integrated suite of IT business tools that helps JX provide customers with exceptional service while facilitating greater efficiencies, productivity and profitability throughout our organization,” says Richard Yezzi, JX vice president of operations. “It was a pleasure to host the Karmak Fusion User Summit at our JX Truck Center – Indianapolis and to lead a tour through this outstanding facility and showcase how we leverage Fusion in our operations. It was a highly successful event, allowing attendees to learn best practices, preview new features, learn from vendor seminars, and network with peers from throughout the trucking industry, all with the ultimate goal of serving customers in the best ways possible.”
Adds Jim Allen, Karmak’s President and CEO, who also attended the event: “We strive to help our customers realize higher levels of success and I feel that our product and company strategies were validated by the customer response at this event. We want to be true partners with our customers, and these Summits are vital in helping Karmak understand the needs of our customers and of the industry overall.”
